Introduction

Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how Wallflake ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information across the Wallflake mobile app, the web dashboard at wallflake.com, and the Advertiser Portal.

By creating an account or using Wallflake, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use Wallflake.

Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

Category What we collect When
Account Information Name, email address, password (hashed), and optionally a phone number When you register or update your profile
Authentication Data Google account details (name, email, profile picture) when using Google Sign-In; one-time passcodes for phone and email verification When you sign in via Google or verify your phone
Investor Profile Experience level, investment goals, risk tolerance, interests, monthly investing budget, brokers used, and country During onboarding, and whenever you edit your profile
Age & Gender Your year of birth — never a full date of birth — and, optionally, your gender During onboarding. Year of birth is required to open an account; gender is always optional
Financial Preferences Stocks in your portfolio or watchlist, portfolio values, transactions you enter, and screener filters you save When you use portfolio and screener features
Community Content Posts, comments, reactions, images, and content you report via the flagging system When you post or interact in MoneyTalk
Advertiser Data Campaign details, ad creatives, placement preferences, and payment records When you use the Advertiser Portal
Usage & Analytics Data Screen views, feature interactions, session duration, in-app events, searches, ad impressions and clicks — linked to your account Continuously while using Wallflake
Device & Diagnostics Device type, operating system, app version, push notification token, crash reports, and performance data. Server errors record the request address, method, and IP When you first launch the app, when tokens refresh, and when an error occurs
Payment Information Subscription status and payment method type — no raw card numbers When you subscribe to a premium plan
Communications Emails sent to support, feedback submitted in-app When you contact us

How age and gender are used. Your year of birth is required because a Wallflake account is for adults only — see Section 12. Gender is always optional, and "Prefer not to say" is a real answer we keep rather than a blank. Both are private: never shown on your profile, never used to decide what you are shown or offered, never used to target advertising, and never sent to any third party. Their only use is to build anonymous audience totals for creators, expressed as rounded percentages and released only once an audience passes a minimum size threshold, so no individual can be identified from them.

We do not collect: raw payment card numbers, government ID numbers, biometric data, precise GPS location, your contacts, or audio recordings.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Advertising on Wallflake is served entirely by us and is contextual — matched to the screen or topic you are viewing, never to your personal characteristics. We use no advertising identifiers, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we share nothing with ad networks or data brokers.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers or data brokers. Your age and gender are never shared with anyone in any form.

6

Community Content & Moderation

Posts and comments you publish in MoneyTalk are visible to other users. Your display name and profile image are shown alongside your public content. Your age, gender, investing budget, and other private profile fields are not.

Please do not share sensitive personal or financial information in public posts.

When content is reported by another user, the reported content and relevant account information may be reviewed by our moderation team. Reports are kept confidential — the reporting user's identity is not disclosed to the person whose content was reported.

7

Push Notifications & Broadcasts

If you enable push notifications, we collect and store your device's push notification token to deliver price alerts, dividend reminders, news updates, challenge notifications, and broadcast announcements from the Wallflake team.

You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling them does not affect in-app notification delivery.

8

Automatic App Updates

Wallflake uses an over-the-air (OTA) update system. When you open the app, it may check for and automatically download available updates. During this process, version metadata (app version, runtime version, update channel) is transmitted to our update servers. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.

9

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Specifically:

To delete your account and all associated data, visit the account deletion page, use the in-app setting, or contact us directly.

10

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 14.

11

Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures, including:

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability.

12

Children's Privacy

A Wallflake account is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create one, because investing through Ghanaian brokers requires it.

This is why we ask for your year of birth during onboarding, and why we do not accept a year implying you are under 18.

Public pages on wallflake.com — news, market data, and public community posts — may be read by anyone 13 or older without an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 14. We will promptly delete such information from our records.

13

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

Your continued use of Wallflake after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
