Managing Director praises customers as GCB Bank wraps up Pa To Pa Promo
The Managing Director of GCB Bank, Farihan Alhassan, has praised customers for developing strong saving habits after the successful conclusion of the bank’s Pa To Pa Promo, describing their participation as highly impressive.
He made the remarks on Friday, May 8, at the grand finale held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, where GCB Bank awarded the final batch of winners and celebrated participants of the five-month nationwide savings campaign.
The event brought together senior executives of the bank, including the Chief Risk Officer Theophilus Aryee, Executive Head of Retail Sina Kamagate, Liability Products Manager Richard Wobil, Head of Products Emelia Sackey, Head of Sales and Distribution Mahmoud Yaqoub Gomda, as well as representatives from internal audit, the media, customers, and the National Lotteries Authority.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Alhassan said the campaign, which ran from December 2025 to April 2026, was introduced to encourage customers to build consistent savings habits around personal life goals.
He explained that the initiative was designed to make everyday aspirations more achievable, such as weddings, buying cars, vacations, or travelling to support the Black Stars of Ghana at international tournaments.
According to him, customers across the country responded positively, actively saving throughout the period and engaging with the promo’s activities.
As part of the campaign, GCB Bank rewarded participants with a variety of household and electronic items, including televisions, refrigerators, ovens, and mobile phones. Mr. Alhassan said these rewards were a way of appreciating customers for their loyalty and commitment.
He also announced that five top customers would receive fully sponsored trips to the United States, Canada, and Mexico to watch this year’s global football tournament. The package covers visas, flights, accommodation, and transport.
Four of the winners qualified based on their accumulated savings points, while one additional winner was selected through a transparent draw supervised by the National Lotteries Authority.
Mr. Alhassan emphasized that the Pa To Pa Promo reflects GCB Bank’s commitment to going beyond traditional banking by helping customers achieve their goals and rewarding their loyalty.
He added that customers who did not win should remain engaged, noting that the bank plans to introduce more reward-driven campaigns in the future.
